Shannon Godby is an experienced artist in Batavia, Ohio, that has many different types of original art to offer. You'll find everything from abstract paintings and traditional photography to digitally manipulated works. Shannon has a client base that is extremely diverse, and whatever appeals to you can be made available. Those that want to buy can purchase immediately or it can be ordered. The artwork will speak for itself. Shannon has a great deal of pride in his work, and wants to continue to expand his repertoire to include additional venues. Shannon also participates in local art shows from May through October and offers private viewings through appointments. You can also find his work in studio #311 at the Pendleton Art Center during Final Fridays or also by appointment.

Artist's Statement

Art is a part of who I am. Painting has always been my first passion followed closely by photography. For over fifteen years, I have been creating works of art in both mediums, and I strive to become a better artist with each new painting. Within the last few years, I have begun to infuse parts of each medium to create abstract paintings based on shapes found in nature. With these compositions, I have had more freedom to experiment with different textural effects and vibrant color combinations. When I show a piece of artwork, I want the viewer to be able to add their own feelings and be able to walk away with an interpretation that makes it more of a personal experience.
